BOTOX® Event in Columbus to Benefit Cancer Research

Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) April 6, 2008 -- On Saturday, May 10th, 2008, Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery, Inc. (www.columbusplasticsurgery.com) will hold a "BOTOX Day for a Cure" event to benefit cancer research. Scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the practice's Upper Arlington office, the event offers discounts for BOTOX Cosmetic and the injectable fillers Juvéderm, Restylane®, and Perlane® for new and existing patients. A portion of the day's proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the prominent national foundation dedicated to raising awareness and finding a cure for breast cancer.

Held at 4971 Arlington Centre Blvd., the event will also provide patients free aesthetician consultations on the most effective skin care products and treatments for their individual needs.

The plastic surgeons at Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery support breast cancer research as part of a medical team that serves breast cancer survivors. They perform a significant amount of breast reconstruction surgery and are excited about sponsoring an event that contributes to the effort to find a cure.

"Donating a portion of the 'BOTOX Day for a Cure' event proceeds to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation allows Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery, Inc. and their patients to be a part of the fight," says Dr. Susan D. Vasko, who co-founded the practice with Dr. Timothy A. Treece over 10 years ago.

At the event in Columbus, Ohio, BOTOX representatives and certified registered nurses will be assisting the physicians to answer any questions patients may have. Both women and men are encouraged to make an appointment to help in the fight against breast cancer.

BOTOX, one of the most researched medical innovations, has been used effectively for over 17 years to treat a variety of conditions including moderate to severe frown lines on the face. BOTOX Cosmetic has become the most popular physician-administered cosmetic treatment in the United States.

Dr. Treece and Dr. Vasko are board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Drs. Robert T. Heck and John K. Wakelin, also certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, are part of the award-winning Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery team, offering reconstructive and plastic surgery to Columbus-area residents along with BOTOX Cosmetic and other treatments.

For more information or to schedule an appointment for the "BOTOX Day for a Cure" event, please call 614-246-6900. Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery is a sponsor of the Komen Columbus Race for the Cure.
